Undone In Sorrow

This is one of my favorite old time banjo songs. Below is Ola Belle Reed's cover.

Crowd Goes Crazy for the Dutar

I want a Dutar really, really bad. I love how much sound is produced with only 2 strings. This is my favorite dutar video on Youtube, not because this dude slays (he does, esp. at around 1:30) but because of the enthusiastic dudes hanging with him. They must be deaf.

Andy McKee - Guitar - Drifting

This guy is insane.

This guy is awesome. That's all.

Turkish Blend

Turkish Blend

(banjo)

This is the first thing I recorded on my banjo. I love eastern string instruments (particularly the dutar). One of many reasons I love the banjo, is the droaning you get that is similar to this style. While I get kinda sloppy in parts, I think this is a good example of how versatile the banjo can be.

No Woman No Cry

No Woman No Cry

(ukulele)

This was the first song I learned on the Uke. Still one of my favorites to play.

norwegian wood

Norwegian Wood

(ukulele)

This is one of my favorite Beatles' tunes. This is tuned to open D. Tabs are included below.

Tablature (dadf#):

Part 1

Part 2

In the Pines

In the Pines

(Ukulele)

This is done in open D tuning (Open D Tuning (dadf#). I like the droany sound the open tuning gives - it works will with this song (IMO). I eff around with the strumming at the end although I much prefer the way the finger picking sounds at the beginning.

Oh, and I apologize for the abrupt ending, I recorded this on my phone and it fell.

In the Pines

In the Pines

(banjo)

This is my take on "In the Pines" on the banjo. This is an old, old folk song, covered by many, and is one of my all-time favorites.

Mandolin #2

Mandolin - Song 2

(I need to come up with better names for these things)

I've had the mandolin since Christmas. I've managed 2 sorta-songs thus far. This is the second. Things are moving slow, but I'm having fun so whatever...
